The 9th International Aerosol and Metal Containers Technology Exhibition (AEROTECH/METALTECH) came to a successful conclusion in Ningbo at the end of October. This city, which is about 200 kilometers south of Shanghai and thus very centrally located in one of the strongest economic regions in southeastern China, was selected as the event location for the fourth time (the event was also held here in 2013, 2015 and 2017). The nearly three-hour drive from Shanghai to Ningbo over the world’s longest sea bridge, the 36 kilometer-long Hangzhou Bay Bridge, is always impressive.
For three days, Ningbo hosted visitors and exhibitors from the international aerosol industry. As for the past events of the Chinese packaging association (CPF), the exhibition space was very large once again and the numerous trade visitors were impressed by the booths, some of which were quite large, especially those of the Chinese exhibitors. At all times, visitors had sufficient space to examine the latest products and engage in intensive discussions. In the many conversations in the booths, the high quality of the audience was evident. The specialized knowledge that the Chinese aerosol industry has developed is impressive, and Chinese aerosol manufacturers continue to become more internationally oriented.
In addition to the large aerosol technology companies, some European and American companies also participated as exhibitors. In total, more than 100 exhibitors registered, including familiar names such as Majesty, Aestar, Tentop, Precision, Chengtian, Mall und Herlan, Joson, and Technopack, just to name a few. Even during the trade event, the majority of participants told us that their conversations were outstanding, leading to concrete business deals in numerous cases. The detailed exhibitor list (see below).
The lecture program was also very internationally oriented and successfully engaged the trade public. Topical focal points were aerosol-specific specialized topics and the latest developments in aerosol technology in the industry’s various markets and regions. Please see box below for details of the lecture program.
While the exhibition was held across three days, the lectures were confined to two days, which were planned so that trade visitors would have the opportunity to visit the exhibition and attend lectures without feeling like they were missing something. In addition to different evening events sponsored by companies, the gala evening on the second day of the event provided not just another culinary highlight of this three-day event, but with the presentation of the “Aerosol Innovation Awards” and a great deal of exciting entertainment, the crowning achievement of this year’s very successful AEROTECH/METALTECH in Ningbo.
