The fact that the Indian aerosol industry also profited from this growth was evident in the growth rates in this sector. Attendees and exhibitors at this year’s “Indian Aerosols Expo 2019,” which took place in Mumbai on February 28 to March 1, could also see that the Indian aerosol market conceals even greater growth potential. Even in advance, there was great interest in this trade event – advance registration figures suggested good attendance – but during the event, the figures increased even more because in addition to the national and Asian exhibitors who participated, European and American companies were also on-site. To a certain extent, the exhibitor structure was also reflected in the attendee structure; in addition to a multitude of domestic tradespeople, a large international trade audience found its way to Mumbai. The exhibitors’ booths were full of people on each day of the congress. The interest in new developments and products was constant. In addition to technological questions, attendees’ interests were clearly focused on questions of safety and sustainability. The topics of the lecture program, which ran parallel to the exhibition and which are listed in this issue, were varied and ranged from general topics (markets, trends) to very specialized questions about technologies, safety, and sustainability. All of the lectures were well-attended and frequently ended with discussions that went into greater depth.
The congress and exhibition were held in a new location, which offered the appropriate framework and infrastructure required for such a trade congress, and so the numerous attendees were able to spread out across the generous premises.
